I found that abrt had registered these hard locks after trial and error going through logs. There were many hard locks (abrt says six). The hard locks seemed to happen when resizing a window and scrolling through nautilus folders (as in looking through other folders when trying to set up Gnome-system-log). The original stacktrace was caused by the key 'org.gnome.desktop.default-applications.browser' being mentioned in a migration file. It no longer is.
