Description of problem: % rpm -ql iwl5000-firmware /lib/firmware/iwlwifi-5000-1.ucode /lib/firmware/iwlwifi-5000-5.ucode However, the Linus kernel, linux-next, and Rawhide kernels all still have this code in them: #define IWL5000_UCODE_API_MAX 2 Which means it won't find the -2 version that isn't shipped anymore. For rawhide, run "yum update"... :-)
Package iwl5000-firmware-8.83.5.1-2.fc15: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 15 updates-testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing iwl5000-firmware-8.83.5.1-2.fc15' as soon as you are able to, then reboot.
