I very much like the new line-by-line style output in 15, but the icing on the cake would be to have (at the install step) anaconda not only show package name, description and size, but also a running count so one has a rough idea how far along the kickstart is. example [010/455] Installing bash-4.2.0-0.1.rc2.fc15.x86_64 (3 MB) The GNU Bourne Again shell [011/455] Installing nss-softokn-freebl-3.12.9-3.fc15.x86_64 (374 KB) Freebl library for the Network Security Services [012/455] Installing glibc-common-2.13.90-3.x86_64 (107 MB) Common binaries and locale data for glibc
Easy enough. This will be fixed in the next build of anaconda for both rawhide and F15.
(I'm checking through old MODIFIED/ON_QA/VERIFIED anaconda bugs) In F19, looks like the count is there (137/236), but the description and package size are not displayed any more. Not sure if anyone cares about that. Anyhow, the request reported here was implemented and is still there in current Fedora, so closing.
