Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 681716
SRPMS/aspell-sr-0.02-1.2.1.src.rpm installs wrongly named aspell-sl.spec
Last modified: 2013-04-15 05:13:30 EDT
Description of problem: Installing the file SRPMS/aspell-sr-0.02-1.2.1.src.rpm from the Redhat Source RPM DVD for version 5.6 improperly drops "aspell-sl.spec" in the SPECS directory instead of "aspell-sr.spec" like it should How reproducible: rpm -i /mnt/iso/SRPMS/aspell-sr-0.02-1.2.1.src.rpm Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install src.rpm 2. look in SPECS file 3. See name is wrong Actual results: file aspell-sl.spec is produced Expected results: file aspell-sr.spec should be produced Additional Information: I only found this on version 5.6, it could be incorrect in other versions but I did not check.
This is a problem because: If you install ALL the SRPMS from the DVD, there will be a file that is written over. Of the 1,231 .src.rpm files, you will only have 1,230 .spec files.
Technical note added. If any revisions are required, please edit the "Technical Notes" field accordingly. All revisions will be proofread by the Engineering Content Services team. New Contents: Prior to this update, the file name of the spec file in the aspell-sr source package (aspell-sl.spec) was incorrect. With this update, the spec file name has been corrected to aspell-sr.spec.
