Description Albert Strasheim 2011-03-03 13:57:13 UTC
Description of problem:

1. make 2 TB btrfs file system

2. make a few levels of directories

3. fill directories with 64 MiB files by doing:

open
fallocate
close

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

kernel-2.6.35.11-83.fc14.x86_64

How reproducible:

Always

Actual results:

df -ah reports:

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use%
/dev/mapper/mpathaa 1.9T 1.9T 2.1G 100%

but operations to make more files fail with ENOSPC.

ENOSPC handling in btrfs is known to have issues in 2.6.35. You should try with the f15 or latest f16 kernel.
