Yes, is the same my troubles: There was a problem importing one of the Python modules required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was: No module named mirror Please install a package which provides this module, or verify that the module is installed correctly. It's possible that the above module doesn't match the current version of Python, which is: 2.6.4 (r264:75706, Apr 1 2010, 02:55:51) [GCC 4.4.3 20100226 (Red Hat 4.4.3-8)] If you cannot solve this problem yourself, please go to the yum faq at: http://yum.baseurl.org/wiki/Faq I have to checked the version of python, it show me: # rpm -q python python-2.6.4-25.fc13.x86_64 python-2.6.4-27.fc13.x86_64
Look like a broken python update try to download the python-2.6.4-27.fc13.x86_64 from a fedora update mirror remove the 2 installed python packages with rpm -e python-2.6.4-25.fc13.x86_64 --nodeps rpm -e python-2.6.4-27.fc13.x86_64 --nodeps install the downloaded python rpm rpm -ivh python-2.6.4-27.fc13.x86_64.rpm And hopefully your python will be working again.

Regards Denis Arosquipa
