Description of problem: Not sure if this is a feature or a bug. If I click on an item in the GNOME top bar/panel (such as the Volume Control) and then decided to alt-tab while the menu is still down, the switcher will move through each of the other items on the Bar before starting to oscillate through the applications. Once it starts oscillating through the applications, it does not cycle back to the items on the bar. Should the alt-tab shortcut be used to cycle through GNOME Bar settings as well as open applications? Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gnome-shell-2.91.90-2.fc15.x86_64 How reproducible: Every time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click on the volume control in the GNOME top bar. 2. alt-tab through items. Actual results: alt-tab cycles through the other items in the bar, such as the Bluetooth item, the laptop battery monitor and the user account menu. Once it "goes past" the user account menu, it reverts to the normal application switcher mode. Expected results: Unsure if it is meant to do this. Should it only cycle through open apps or should it jump through these top bar items as well? Since it never cycles back to the top bar items once it moves off them, should it return to them once the user has cycled through the open apps? Additional info:
Seems to be fixed in 2.91.91 -- can you retest? I tried with a click on volume control and on my name, and either repeated tabs or repeated alt-tabs both produce the same behavior -- just cycling through the available items in the pop-up -- *not* on the top bar -- and never cycling through the application lists
Hello Michel, Yes, I can confirm that has fixed it. Thanks and cheers, David
