There is a plan to introduce new naming scheme for network devices enabled by default for some sort of machines in RHEL 6.1. Look at Bug 501533 for details.

In my opinion Migration guide seems to be good place to describe it. I didn't find such information there. Please consider to update guide with appropriate section.

Just a note. Actually I am not sure about current status of this feature, so I don't know if and in which final form this will land to RHEL 6.1.
