I have IMAP accounts, on POP3 there was no email, so I don't have experience how filter works with this accounts.

Thanks for a bug report. 2.32.0 sounds quite low. When you run evolution from console, is there any message printed when "copy instead move"? And if you can also try to follow [1] and get a log of what it is actually doing, then it'll be great. When you downgrade, do you downgrade all evolution-related packages or evolution itself only, so you have evolution-data-server and others as 2.32.2, but evolution is 2.32.0?

Oh, also, what Inbox is this about, the On This >Computer or the IMAP server's Inbox?

Comment 4 Aleksander Podsiadły 2011-03-09 18:08:13 UTC
I downgrade 4 packages, all related:
evolution evolution-help evolution-data-server evolution-perl
till now filters works fine.
I didn't run evolution from console, I'll try to do it, but I have to wait for specific incoming mail.
This accounts are on external Dovecot IMAP servers (qmailtoaster with Dovecot).
Regards,
alex

OK, thanks, could you follow instructions from the FAQ entry from comment #2, please?

logs from 2 versions of evolution

2.32.2 physically not moves, make copy

Comment 11 Milan Crha 2011-03-10 09:59:08 UTC
It's confusing, each is logging a move operation. And if you do not see any other error message on the console either, which you indicated in comment #8, then either the error itself is masked somewhere, or I'm leading this bug to a wrong direction.

Comment 12 Aleksander Podsiadły 2011-03-10 10:30:21 UTC
Filtering message by hand works. Looks like incoming message is copied to destination folder and marked as read instead of deleting it.

Comment 13 Fedora End Of Life 2012-08-16 14:16:40 UTC
This message is a notice that Fedora 14 is now at end of life. Fedora
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 14. It is
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no
longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version'
of '14' have been closed as WONTFIX.

(Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this
occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.)

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen
this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we were unable to fix it before Fedora 14 reached end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on
"Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that
version of Fedora.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
