2. What is the nature and description of the request? Customer has requested that an ISO be created for the optional packages in RHEL 6. 3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here) Having a optional package ISO will make it easier for the customer to get all the optional packages in one shot, instead of having to pull down packages individually. 4. How would the customer like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here) Have an ISO's created for the Optional packages in RHEL 6. Just like the ISO for RHEL Supplementary but for Optional packages. 5. For each functional requirement listed in question 4, specify how Red Hat and the customer can test to confirm the requirement is successfully implemented. ISO's exist for the RHEL Supplementary but not for Optional packages. 6. Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat bugzilla? Not that I am aware of. 7. How quickly does this need resolved? (desired target release) As soon as possible. RHEL 6.1
Additional clarification regarding the business requirements: "Because when you are building systems based on the ISO image of the Workstation or Server releases using kickstart and you are dependent on packages in the Optional channel you need to have the versions that match the dependencies that are in the ISO image. Kickstart will fail if it can't find the matching package versions."
