Description of problem: When the installer finds some, but not all, component devices of an md array, it still tries to treat the incomplete array as if it were complete. This is not intended, and can lead to crashes if users try to do anything with the incomplete arrays. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): anaconda-13.21.100-1 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create an md array on two virt disks 2. Start an install using only one of the virt disks above Actual results: Observe in "create custom layout" that the array is shown, even though it cannot be used or even activated. Expected results: software RAID partitions appear as such, but no array is presented Additional info:
This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update release for currently deployed products. This request is not yet committed for inclusion in an Update release.
Tested on build RHEL6.1-20110323.1 with anaconda-13.21.107-1.el6. RAID device is not shown when some raid members are missing. Tested with RAID1 and RAID5 configurations. Moving to VERIFIED.
