I upgraded my laptop to F15 today. Now when I close the lid on it, it suspends even when the power is plugged in. I believe there was a setting for this in the panel dialog at some point, but it doesn't seem to be there now. Is there a gsettings key I can tweak to change this behavior?
I think I found the setting. This seems to have corrected it: $ gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power lid-close-ac-action blank ...it would be nice to have this in the "power" section of gnome-control-center. Reassigning bug to "control-center" since the lack of an option seems to be the main problem.
There won't be an option, it's working as per design. Closing the lid will suspend, unless you have an external display attached to the machine. If you want to discuss the design decision, please do so upstream.
Since it was pointed out that this has been discussed upstream already, do you have a link to that discussion? I'd like to read over it before I try to discuss anything upstream.
