Description of problem: Turkey will move their clocks forward a day later than the rest of Europe in 2011 because of a nationwide exam scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 27. Daylight saving time (DST) in Turkey will start at 3am (03:00) local time on Monday, March 28, 2011. Turkey is scheduled to end DST on Sunday, October 30, 2011. # zdump -v Europe/Istanbul |grep 2011 Europe/Istanbul Sun Mar 27 00:59:59 2011 UTC = Sun Mar 27 02:59:59 2011 EET isdst=0 gmtoff=7200 Europe/Istanbul Sun Mar 27 01:00:00 2011 UTC = Sun Mar 27 04:00:00 2011 EEST isdst=1 gmtoff=10800 which needs to be corrected.
