So this is a "VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Device 95c2" using the radeon driver.

Wow! And is this a good news?
I don't understand why aborted, i've also tried to open an old molecule, in this case it doesn't crash, but doesn't show me anything.

Comment 9 Kevin Kofler 2011-03-13 15:37:38 UTC
I'd suspect a video driver issue, but unfortunately the backtrace doesn't really help me proving that. (There's some exception, it gets caught and rethrown later when the original backtrace is lost.) I'm not sure how to proceed. :-(

Ok, but is it possibile to be a problem of the new version?
How could i install the old version of avogadro to try this option?
I thank you.

Comment 11 Kevin Kofler 2011-03-13 17:33:43 UTC
Anything older than avogadro-1.0.1-10.fc14 won't run on Fedora 14 at all, see bug #642248.

But that makes me wonder: What version of sip do you have installed? (rpm -q sip)

Comment 12 tigre-eretica 2011-03-13 17:50:41 UTC
this is the version of sip: sip-4.10.5-2.fc14.i686

I made that question because i used kubuntu before install fedora 14 and avogadro ran good.

Comment 13 Kevin Kofler 2011-03-13 18:37:23 UTC
That's the version of sip avogadro-1.0.1-10.fc14 was tested with, so I doubt your problem has anything to do with bug #642248, despite the similar symptoms. It's more likely to be an OpenGL issue.

Can you try running:
LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 avogadro

Comment 14 tigre-eretica 2011-03-13 18:48:31 UTC
 LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 avogadro

Comment 15 tigre-eretica 2011-03-19 21:04:30 UTC
I can use the windows version with wine, but it's obviously not the same!

Comment 16 Kevin Kofler 2011-03-21 00:44:28 UTC
D-Bus is not working for you, so it's no wonder Avogadro doesn't work. That's not an Avogadro issue.
