Description of Problem:
I have a DVD drive in a machine here at the desk which fails when I attempt to
enable DMA on it.  Don't know if this is expected or not, but thought it worth
the report.

[root@jkt3 root]# hdparm -d1 /dev/hdb

/dev/hdb:
 setting using_dma to 1 (on)
 HDIO_SET_DMA failed: Operation not permitted
 using_dma    =  0 (off)

This is not an initscripts issue if it returns 'operation not permitted'.

Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of
the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem
persists.

The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases, 
and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the problem in
the bug tracker at: http://bugzilla.fedora.us/
