Red Hat Product Errata RHBA-2011:1092 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE gpm bug fix update 2011-07-27 08:15:34 UTC

Description Zenon Panoussis 2011-03-14 19:25:20 UTC
Rebuilding fails with

Checking for unpackaged file(s): /usr/lib/rpm/check-files /root/rpmbuild/BUILDROOT/gpm-1.20.6-11.el6.x86_64
error: Installed (but unpackaged) file(s) found:
   /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/t-mouse.el

This is caused by configure at

checking for emacs... /usr/bin/emacs
checking where to install Emacs Lisp files... ${datadir}/emacs/site-lisp

The file should either be deleted in %install or packaged (+BuildRequires: emacs-nox).

Comment 2 RHEL Program Management 2011-03-14 19:38:15 UTC
This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for
inclusion in the current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Because the affected component is not scheduled to be updated
in the current release, Red Hat is unfortunately unable to
address this request at this time. Red Hat invites you to
ask your support representative to propose this request, if
appropriate and relevant, in the next release of Red Hat
Enterprise Linux. If you would like it considered as an
exception in the current release, please ask your support
representative.

Comment 3 Nikola Pajkovsky 2011-04-27 10:01:30 UTC
Thanks for report. That only happens when you have installed emacs and gdm does not have dependence on emacs, thus it works as charm in brew. OTOH removing t-mouse.el from %install does not hurt anyone and people can build gpm locally with emacs.

Comment 7 Petr Kovar 2011-07-26 16:04:16 UTC
Technical note added. If any revisions are required, please edit the "Technical Notes" field
accordingly. All revisions will be proofread by the Engineering Content Services team.
