Created attachment 500478 [details] RedSquareBuffering-Elephant Shows red square which is rotating showing buffering
Created attachment 500479 [details] Square not rendering of elephant image showing square not rendering in same place where previously buffering square showed up
I tried to reproduce this problem on a Win7-64 bit guest. Install Tools from SM96 build - QXL version 4.5.52832 I connected to guest with Spice and played the Africa demo video from website http://www.lithium.it/fvf/demoh264/demo720-africa.html and I could clearly see there was a small square in the video that's not rendering correctly. The problem seems to be that there is a red square which rotates when the video is buffering. Even when the red square is not showing up, the pixel area around the where the red square shows up is not rendering correctly about 75% of the time. I tried the same video after connecting with VNC and did not see the problem. Will attach screenshots explaining the problem.
Shouldn't this be proposed for 2.2.z? That is where it was found. We will open a but against 3.0 if the issue is still there.
the bug was cloned to 3.0. Was not reproducible with new qxl driver (v.14). There is no intent to fix it in 2.2
