Description of Problem:
When attempting to register a system, all attempts to send package list fail
with various communication errors. Functions such as 'up2date -l' work correctly

1. install 7.3
2. register w/ rhn_register
3.  

Actual Results:

Registration fails unless user choses to omit the package list.

Expected Results:

RHN should recieve a list of packages

Additional Information:
	
All this is in text mode over an ssh session, X is not installed on the box.
Other systems on the same subnet configured similarly have no problems
