Description of problem: There is only about a 4 pixel border on windows to resize them. This makes resizing by (eg.) dragging the left border very hard. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gnome-shell-2.91.91-2.fc15.x86_64

I was about to file the same bug, then I found this one. +1, resizing windows is quite hard, this is more or less a serious usability issue and should be fixed before F-15. Proposing this as F15 blocker
Discussed at 2011-04-15 blocker review meeting. This does not seem to hit any release criteria. It also doesn't seem to be a regression compared to F14 (or any previous release): on F14, the resize handle area is just the same (four pixels), I tested this. Windows also have resize handles at lower right hand corner. The issue could also be addressed with an update. So, we agreed not to take this as a blocker or NTH. (seems there may be a bug with GTK+ 2 apps not having resize handles lower-right, but that could be tracked separately). -- Fedora Bugzappers volunteer triage team https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers
actually, that GTK+ 2 thing is probably a red herring - we noticed virt-manager and Firefox, but virt-manager doesn't have a handle in F14 either and Firefox is probably due to changes to the status bar between FF3 and FF4. -- Fedora Bugzappers volunteer triage team https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers
I totally agree with Richard, I find it very frustrating trying to resize windows. I wrote "trying" intentionally, because usually I just give up. It's the only thing that makes me really think about removing gnome-shell and returning to Xfce.
Looking at the upstream bug report, some patches where just pushed to the git master (see https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=644930#c183 for details). If someone who experiences this bug would have the opportunity to test those patches, please make a comment here on whether they solve the problem.
It has been fixed since some months ago, I think this bug report could be closed right now.
Richard, are you happy with things now?
