There was this nice feature that was present in Fedora 14:

In the current set of software in Fedora 15, I can't find a way to activate and use fingerprints in the gnome-control-center's user settings app.

Nevermind, seems like the new gnome-control-center's user panel now properly works/allows users to enroll fingerprints.
