Description h4ck3rpunk 2011-03-25 12:28:49 UTC
Description of problem:
When I use diff, both files are always marked as entirely different

Additional info:
I just installed it from yum without any additional repos

Please show a test case including files to compare and command line used.

Comment 2 h4ck3rpunk 2011-03-25 19:27:08 UTC
Sorry... I'm new

diff -rupN Release_5.5/ WonderQVM-v1.0/ > wonderland.patch

...is the command I used. The file shows the entire original file as red and the new file as green (might have that backwards...) I'll attach the .patch.

I tried making a patch between wonderland qvm and lakitu7qvm

Does not find any similarities. I used:

diff -rupN Release_5.5/ WonderQVM-v1.0/ > wonderland.patch

Thanks for the report. On this occasion it isn't really a bug. One of the files uses CR-LR line termination, while the other does not -- so the files are in fact entirely different. Use the option --strip-trailing-cr to see differences other than line termination differences.

Oh thanks! Sorry about posting a nonbug.
