Description of problem: the RedHat Directory Server Admin Guide (http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Directory_Server/8.2/html/Administration_Guide/Managing_Replication-Configuring-Replication-cmd.html#Configuring-Replication-ReplAgmt-cmd) shows an example of configuring a replication agreement via the command-line. In the example, it gives a value for the 'nsds5ReplicaBindDN' attribute as 'cn=replication manager'. I don't think that will work, because I don't think that's a valid dn. Furthermore, this is inconsistent with the example used for creating a bindDN via the command-line (http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Directory_Server/8.2/html/Administration_Guide/Creating_the_Supplier_Bind_DN_Entry.html) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): admin guide for RedHat Directory Server v8.1 and v8.2 How reproducible: goto http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Directory_Server/8.2/html/Administration_Guide/Managing_Replication-Configuring-Replication-cmd.html#Configuring-Replication-ReplAgmt-cmd Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: nsds5ReplicaBindDN: cn=replication manager Expected results: nsds5ReplicaBindDN: cn=replication manager,cn=config Additional info:
This may have already been fixed in the 8.2 docs.
Yep, this has been fixed in the 8.2 docs: http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Directory_Server/8.2/html/Administration_Guide/Managing_Replication-Configuring-Replication-cmd.html#Configuring-Replication-ReplAgmt-cmd
