Description Sitsofe Wheeler 2011-03-27 23:03:45 UTC
Description of problem:
Binding the "Pause/break" key to "Play (or play/pause)" in keyboard shortcuts does not pause (or play when paused) sound in Rhythmbox or Totem.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-settings-daemon-2.91.92-1.fc15.i686

How reproducible:
Reproducible every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run
gnome-control-center keyboard
2. Select the Shorcuts tab.
3. Click on "Sound and Media" on the left and then "Audio play" at the far right of "Play (or play/pause)". "New shortcut" should be displayed.
4. Press the Pause/Break key on the keyboard.
5. Run
totem /usr/share/sounds/speech-dispatcher/dummy-message.wav
6. While the wav is playing in totem press the Pause/Break key on the keyboard.

Actual results:
Nothing happens.

Expected results:
Sound from totem to be paused.

This is still here in Fedora 15 final. Another example of a key that doesn't work for a media player shortcut is F12 (for next track).

Comment 2 Sitsofe Wheeler 2012-04-05 17:15:18 UTC
I can't reproduce this problem in Fedora 17 beta RC3 - closing as fixed current release.
