it'd be useful to add epel6 branch to visualvm as it seems not integrated into openjdk for el6.

Sorry. As Netbeans-paltform is not about to be supported on rhel, then visualvm is can not be shipped.

wouldn't it be possible to support netbeans in epel if it's not supported on rhel?

Support for EPEL is possible. Me (or netbeans maintainer) can maybe find free time to provide all dependences and visualvm itself.  If you are in hurry, feel free to add it yourself as EPEL is a community project.
