SELinux is preventing /usr/bin/vmnet-bridge from 'search' accesses on the directory /home/arkiados/Downloads. ***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests *************************** If you believe that vmnet-bridge should be allowed search access on the Downloads directory by default. Then you should report this as a bug. You can generate a local policy module to allow this access. Do allow this access for now by executing: # grep vmnet-bridge /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol # semodule -i mypol.pp Additional Information: Source Context unconfined_u:system_r:vmware_host_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 Target Context unconfined_u:object_r:user_home_t:s0 Target Objects /home/arkiados/Downloads [ dir ] Source vmnet-bridge Source Path /usr/bin/vmnet-bridge Port <Unknown> Host (removed) Source RPM Packages Target RPM Packages Policy RPM selinux-policy-3.7.19-89.fc13 Selinux Enabled True Policy Type targeted Enforcing Mode Enforcing Host Name (removed) Platform Linux (removed) 2.6.34.8-68.fc13.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu Feb 17 15:03:58 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 Alert Count 13 First Seen Sat 09 Apr 2011 10:38:32 AM CDT Last Seen Sat 09 Apr 2011 10:38:33 AM CDT Local ID 362aa6d7-143c-4e09-b490-e068700bbcac Raw Audit Messages type=AVC msg=audit(1302363513.252:28538): avc: denied { search } for pid=20953 comm="vmnet-netifup" name="Downloads" dev=dm-3 ino=36438033 scontext=unconfined_u:system_r:vmware_host_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 tcontext=unconfined_u:object_r:user_home_t:s0 tclass=dir type=SYSCALL msg=audit(1302363513.252:28538): arch=x86_64 syscall=open success=no exit=EACCES a0=7fff1a8638c0 a1=0 a2=0 a3=ffffffff items=0 ppid=20917 pid=20953 auid=500 uid=0 gid=0 euid=0 suid=0 fsuid=0 egid=0 sgid=0 fsgid=0 tty=(none) ses=5 comm=vmnet-netifup exe=/usr/bin/vmnet-netifup subj=unconfined_u:system_r:vmware_host_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 key=(null) Hash: vmnet-bridge,vmware_host_t,user_home_t,dir,search audit2allow #============= vmware_host_t ============== allow vmware_host_t user_home_t:dir search; audit2allow -R #============= vmware_host_t ============== allow vmware_host_t user_home_t:dir search;
Did you do execute the an init script while sitting in your homedir as root? /etc/init.d/cupsd restart for example? Also please update your F13 selinux-policy.
