Description of problem: Upon boot external monitor reports unsupported resolution in the moment when the boot process switches to graphic mode. This is happening with the non-debug kernel. Debug kernel is working fine. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Kernel 2.6.35.11-83.fc14.x86_64 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. just boot system with external monitor connected to display port Actual results: wrong resolution Expected results: correct resolution/mode Additional info: - external monitor is samsung syncmaster F2380 EDID: 00ffffffffffff004c2d70053332564e 0214010380331d782aee91a3544c9926 0f5054bfef808100814081809500b300 a940714f0101023a801871382d40582c 4500fe1f1100001e000000fd00384b1e 5111000a202020202020000000fc0053 796e634d61737465720a2020000000ff 004839585a3130313834360a20200122 - monitor is connected using HDMI-DisplayPort adapter - xrandr reports monitor as connected to HDMI1 - monitor is connected to DELL latitude e6400 using Integrated Graphics Chipset: Intel(R) GM45 On previous Fedora distribution FC13 and its kernels external monitor resolution was OK. Now using FC14 and kernel 2.6.35 external monitor works with debug kernel but not with default kernel. After un-plugging and re-pluging monitor with default (non debug) kernel correct resolution is set and everything is running OK.
