Description Ted Ross 2011-04-15 13:13:29 UTC
$ qpid-config --help

    ...

    -a <address>, --broker-addr=<address>
                        Maximum time to wait for broker connection (in
                        seconds)

This help text is incorrect.

Comment 1 Gordon Sim 2011-04-15 14:10:13 UTC
Really just a continuation of bug 692134, this was broken by the same commit (http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/qpid/trunk/qpid/tools/src/py/qpid-config?r1=987330&r2=1042398&pathrev=1051700). Need to go through *all* the usage text to verify correctness.

Comment 2 Jonathan Robie 2011-04-15 18:20:00 UTC
I found two errors, the one mentioned in this bug, and --force-if-not-used instead of --force-if-used.

Fixed upstream here:

http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/qpid/trunk/qpid/tools/src/py/qpid-config?r1=1092780&r2=1092779&pathrev=1092780

Comment 3 Gordon Sim 2011-04-18 08:12:31 UTC
Well spotted, and the change to the option name is even more serious. This should definitely be a blocker. It is very low risk.

Comment 4 Jonathan Robie 2011-04-19 14:49:55 UTC
Fix is in mrg_2.0.x.

Comment 5 Frantisek Reznicek 2011-05-26 08:22:44 UTC
The help content issue has been fixed, tested on RHEL5.6 / 6.1 i[36]86 / x86_64
on packages:
  qpid-tools-0.10-5.el5.noarch
  qpid-tools-0.10-4.el6.noarch

-> VERIFIED
