Created attachment 493295 [details] Picture of stack trace I did a "Fedora 15 Beta" UEFI install using the efidisk.img image as described in [1]. Installation went smoothly without complications. When the installation finished and I pressed the "reboot" button, the system started shooting down, but then instead of rebooting the kernel panicked. Attached is a picture the screen with the stack trace. It was not possible to scroll up to get more text. What kind of hardware was this?
This is an ASUS P8P67 motherboard with an Intel core i7 2600K CPU and 8 GB RAM. I can get a smolt profile later if you need it.
I get the same behavior on every reboot on my Samsung 900X3A laptop running F15. This applies to all kernels up to 2.6.38.8-35.fc15.x86_64. Kernel 3.0.0-1.fc16.x86_64 from rawhide seems to work OK. Smolt profile for my laptop: http://www.smolts.org/client/show/pub_b791493e-23b1-4c4e-ad6a-a5c68f00132f CPU model: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2537M CPU @ 1.40GHz
The latest 2.6.40.x kernels in F15 are really just 3.0 renamed. Per comment #3, this issue should be resolved with those. Can anyone confirm?
Yes, this problem is not present on 2.6.40.x kernels. As far as I'm concerned this issue can be resolved, but I guess it still will be present during installation as install images still run 2.6.38, don't they? Best regards and thanks for all the great work, r.

Yes, however there's nothing we can do about that. The install media doesn't get remastered. Thank you for letting us know the issue is resolved otherwise.
