Description of problem:
The standard clock in gnome-shell shows the date.
The date in the Fedora version is missing, and there is way to show it again from settings.

This has nothing to do with GNOME Shell extensions which is what the bug report has been filed against but even otherwise, this isn't a bug.  If you want to make the panel show the date, use gnome-tweak-tool or gsettings
