The hdaps module has a white list of the supported models. The T510 (and many other newer Thinkpads) are not listed at all. The driver hasn't seen much active development since 2009 and seems to have lost interest due to the out-of-tree tp_smapi module. There isn't much we can do about this in Fedora. You might try working with the upstream developers for hdaps to get your model added, or working with the tp_smapi people.
