Description Brian Dudek 2011-04-21 14:32:42 UTC
Description of problem:

--updateall does not update ldap.conf file:
# authconfig --updateall --ldapserver=ldap://test.dom.edu

--update DOES correctly update ldap.conf
# authconfig --update --ldapserver=ldap://test.dom.edu

Looks contradictory to the man page?

Man page snip
#############
If --update action is specified, authconfig must be run by root (or through console helper), and configuration changes are saved. Only the files affected by the configuration changes are overwritten. If --updateall action is specified, authconfig must be run by root (or through console helper), and all configuration files are written.

exception or blocker.

Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the
next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Comment 3 Tomas Mraz 2011-04-26 06:31:46 UTC
