Description Daniel Devine 2011-04-25 02:16:57 UTC
Description of problem:
With the KDE spin of F15 beta the Network Manager Mobile Connection Wizard pops up immediately after the window prompting for keyring password so that it can auto-connect to the WiFi network. This happens both when starting afresh and after suspend/resume on a Lenovo Thinkpad X61t.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
I am not sure if this is is a problem with NetworkManager (0.8.998-3.git20110419.fc15.x86_64) or with kde-plasma-networkmanagement (0.9-0.46.20110420.fc15.x86_64)

Sorry I fumbled and accidentally submitted before finishing!

How reproducible:
Seems to be always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install F15 beta KDE spin and update
2. Connect to a private wireless network and have your password in the keyring.
3. Restart or suspend/resume.

Actual results:
When entering the desktop on start or resume it prompts for keyring password (as it should) but it also brings up the Mobile Connection Wizard (which it shouldn't).

Expected results:
It should not bring up the Mobile Connection Wizard unless you explicitly tell it to.

Additional info:
This laptop has a built-in 3G interface on the USB bus.

Comment 2 Daniel Devine 2011-05-04 01:19:10 UTC
It seems to be fixed now - though I am unsure if this was because of updates or because I reinstalled kde-plasma-networkmanager (and other NM components) trying to some troubles I had because of a crash mid-update.

So either way - this problem has either been resolved by updates or if you are fully up to date as of today try re-installing the NM related stuff.
