Description Richard Allen 2011-04-25 17:28:28 UTC

Screenshot of the console after crash

Description of problem:
Cisco UCS blades panic very frequently

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Linux dblab1.tor.afilias-int.info 2.6.18-238.9.1.el5 #1 SMP Fri Mar 18 12:42:39 EDT 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

How reproducible:
Power on a UCS blade with RHEL 5.6

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Power on a UCS blade with RHEL 5.6
2. Wait a while (few minutes)
3. Enjoy panic

Actual results:
Kernel Panic

Expected results:
Machine that works

Additional info:

Cisco UCS is at firmware Version 1.4(1j). The Paolo Mezzanine card is installed.
Screenshot of the panic is included. I can find no reason for why this happenes. I have 4 blades in 2 chassises and all of them are behaving like this. I even tried things like logging on the console and doing a service network stop and that does not prevent the panic.
Each blade has 2 SAN HBA's and 4 Nicks defined. RHEL 5.6 is deployed using a PXE booted kickstart we use for all of our servers and vm's without any problems.
