Description of problem: sudo -s "echo 6 > /sys/devices/virtual/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness" used to behave the same the same as sudo sh -c "echo 6 > /sys/devices/virtual/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness" This form works correctly in F13, F14, and F15. Now, the shell spawned by sudo -s appears to interpret the entire quoted string as the command name and produces this error: $ sudo -s "echo 6 > /sys/devices/virtual/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness"/bin/bash: echo 6 > /sys/devices/virtual/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness: No such file or directory Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): sudo-1.7.4p5-3.fc15 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. execute the above command 2. 3. Actual results: Error message Expected results: Same results as for sudo sh -c "echo 6 > ..."
