Description Michael Young 2011-04-28 16:08:19 UTC
In the last day or so I have been seeing a problem where I enter my username and password at the gdm screen and then just get the busy icon with the buttons greyed out. From the logs it looks like the authentication has succeeded but it is waiting for something else.
If I kill the pam: gdm-password process from a text console and try again the login works.
If I kill both the pam: gdm-password process and the /usr/libexec/accounts-daemon processes and try again, then the login hangs again. This is with gdm-3.0.0-2.fc15.x86_64 and accountsservice-0.6.9-5.fc15.x86_64 (or accountsservice-0.6.9-4.fc15.x86_64 ).

I am also seeing this behaviour with
gdm-3.0.0-2.fc15.x86_64
accountsservice-0.6.9-5.fc15.x86_64

Comment 2 Michael Young 2011-05-17 08:16:36 UTC
This might now be fixed. I haven't seen the problem recently, I think since accountsservice was upgraded to 0.6.10-2.fc15.x86_64 .
