Description of problem: When systemadm is started, a lot of lines dbus: [system] Service 'org.freedesktop.systemd1' is already active appear in /var/log/messages . At some point rsyslogd does rate limiting and drops further messages. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): systemd-26-1.fc15.i686 dbus-1.4.6-3.fc15.i686 How reproducible: seems to happen always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start sytemadm 2. look at /var/log/messages Actual results: a flood of identical messages with much more dropped because of rate limiting Expected results: no messages, or very few Additional info: Not sure if this problem really is in dbus or systemadm. I selected systemd because this is the component that triggers the bug.
dbus probably shouldn't generate these messages.
