Description Andrew Hecox 2011-05-01 20:00:22 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #700942 +++

- the ReportUploader plugin has been obsoleted by rhtsupport and for upoading files we have generic FileTransfer plugin so to prevent confusion we should remove ReportUploader package and update documentation to refer to FileTransfer instead of Reportuploader

--- Additional comment from pm-rhel on 2011-04-30 02:00:33 EDT ---

Since RHEL 6.1 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains
unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as
exception or blocker.

Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the
next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Comment 1 Andrew Hecox 2011-05-01 20:02:11 UTC
The deployment guide uses the ReportUploader plugin in the centralized crash server example:

 http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/Deployment_Guide/configuring-centralized-crash-collection.html

This works, but that plugin has been obsoleted and will be removed. The FileTransfer plugin (which is available now) should be used instead.

Comment 3 Martin Prpič 2011-09-26 14:41:38 UTC
The FileTransfer plugin has become obsolete with ABRT 2.0. No need for a docs
change, closing this bug.
