Recently i installed Fedora 15 beta in all my computers, both in x64 mode and after update at day, computers does not reboot or shutdown and for that, any time i must use form console -f my major changes are: 1. NetworkManager disabled 2. service network set as active 3. SELiux disabled Why that changes? because NetworkManager never work to join my AdHoc wirless network with WEP password active SELinux disabled because i cannot develop my apps, this does not let my apps to work corectly Also i have another request, please in final release include gui of system-config-network by default because text mode does not provide many features like create and connect pppoe or modems / 3g usb modems. my majos problem is that with cannot reboot or shutdown, also in gnome 3 missing direcly rebot/shutdown/suspend/hibernate button, or this i must logout in gdm first.
(In reply to comment #0) > after update at day, computers does not reboot or shutdown I have the same problem with one of my machines, but not on my main one. The one with the problem was upgraded from F14 to F15 some time ago. It seem to hang on shutdown (or reboot). For the other issues, please open a separate bug. -- Fedora Bugzappers volunteer triage team https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers

is not about update from fedora 14 to 15, is about update at day new fresh fedora 15 beta. my both systems are asus, but different, one is with amd and the laprop with intel, hardware are not the same. is not so nice to open console and write reboot -f. at begining beta was working fine, but after updates, don`t work anymore. also i compiled and i now i use kernel 2.6.39-rc6 and nothing change.
I know, my upgraded system did work fine before, but after I ran regular yum update today, it hangs on reboot/shutdown. Will get logs and data soon. -- Fedora Bugzappers volunteer triage team https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers
Moving to systemd for now; could end up being kernel.
yes, systemd and systemd-utils solve the problem, thank you
What exactly did you mean by that? That the latest version of these packages fixes the bug?
YAA
also last time update, was 4 , 5 packets, this two, system-config-services and another one or two, don`t remember, but i think the systemd solve that problem
