Description of problem: If I select a file in nautilus, it's name and size is printed in a bar in the right-bottom corner (I'm not sure if this bar is called "status" bar, so you can change subject to be more correct). The problem is if I have exactly so many files in a directory that they fill whole icon space (so the last one icon is in the right-bottom corner) and I select any file. The status bar is displayed and hides name of the last file (see the attachment in the next comment). If I select another file or move mouse over status bar, the bar is still there, so I still don't see the file's name. I can see the name of the last file only if I click between icons to un-select all files. If I move mouse over this bar, it should move to the left or disappear, but it doesn't. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): rpm -q nautilus nautilus-3.0.1-1.fc15.x86_64 How reproducible: every-time Steps to Reproduce: 1. open nautilus in a directory with e.g. 12 files and re-size the window to fit exactly (no unnecessary space on the border, so icons are near border) 2. select any file 3. see the status bar with name and size of the selected file 4. try to read name of the last file (it's hidden) 5. move mouse on the status bar (it's still hidden) Actual results: status bar is always on the right and always displayed even if mouse is hovering Expected results: status bar should move left or disappear when mouse is hovering or last file is select Additional info: firefox has similar bar to display the target of a link and this bar is working as expected (could be an example)
Created attachment 497048 [details] example of hiding file name behind status bar
Seems to be fixed in the current F16.
