I use parcellite. It's a clipboard applet. It's a part of Fedora distribution (that it, not a third-party product), and can be installed via usual "yum install parcellite" cmd. In Gnome3 native desktop, its icon doesn't show up in right-top corner of the screen, and it doesn't appear to work. In fallback mode (gnome2 compat one), it works.

Correction: it works - meaning, selection/clipboard are synced, Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V are working more robustly - which tells me that parcellite is actually running in background. What is definitely lost is its icon - which in Gnome2 was providing a few more functions, such as "recall an old selection", by clicking on the icon.
