In Fedora 15 (currently beta), Glom does not start. It shows the "gda Python Module Not Installed" dialog and stops. The gnome-python2-gda module is installed, but running Glom from the terminal suggest that there is a problem with gnome-python2-gda: boost::python::import() failed while importing module: gda traceback = 0 Glom: Python Error: ImportError: could not import gobject (could not find _PyGObject_API object) Glom: A python import of a module failed: gda
it works fine on my F15 boxes, could you provide me installed version of glom, libgda and gnome-python2-gda ? $ rpm -qi glom
This is on a completely fresh F15 install. rpm -qi tells me: glom is version: 1.18.1, release 1,fc15 libgda is version 4.2.5, release 1.fc15 gnome-python2-gda is version 2.25.3, release 22.fc15.
> gnome-python2-gda is version 2.25.3, release 22.fc15 Here's the problem, gnome-python2-gda update path is broken since F14 version is newer than F15's. I did a scratch build of gnome-python2-gda f14 package for F15 (i had to disable gdl subpackage, though current version should not work), it should fix your issue http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=3065958 I reassigned the ticket to gnome-python2-extras maintainer but i'm still following it.
