Description of problem: using perms='rw' will casue an error Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): libvirt-0.8.2-19.el5 python-virtinst-0.400.3-12.el5 kvm-qemu-img-83-231.el5 kvm-83-231.el5 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1.run command: #virt-install -n demo -r 1024 --disk path=/var/lib/libvirt/images/test.img,size=5,perms='rw' -c /dev/cdrom --accelerate Actual results: ERROR Unknown 'perms' value 'rw' Expected results: no error, can install guest Additional info: perms='sh' can worked well, form man help of virt-install the value of perms should be 'ro'|'sh'|'rw'
This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.7 and Red Hat does not plan to fix this issue the currently developed update. Contact your manager or support representative in case you need to escalate this bug.
Since this is pretty low impact, I don't think it's worth fixing at this point in the RHEL5 cycle. Closing as WONTFIX
