In Writer mode, you don't have access to all of the same fields that you get in "admin" mode when adding a new topic. Also, you don't get redirected to the Tag page after the topic is saved. You have to query to find it, to modify its tags.

Please be more specific. What fields do you need access to? You can view a topic to review all the available fields.

No one has access to Topic ID when creating or editing a topic.
Topic Product should not be edited.
Topic Technology is no longer used.
