For RHEL 5.7, include all RHEL 5 supported fence devices in the tables of fence device parameters in the Cluster Administration document, as per this exchange with Lon Hohberger: On Thu, May 12, 2011 at 04:12:20PM -0400, Perry Myers wrote: > > Adding Lon > > > > On 05/12/2011 04:10 PM, Steven Levine wrote: >> > > Marek: >> > > >> > > For the RHEL 5.7 cluster documentation, I am looking at the tables of >> > > fence device parameters we provide in the Cluster Administration >> > > document and comparing what we document with the fence support matrix here: >> > > >> > > https://access.redhat.com/kb/docs/DOC-30003 >> > > >> > > I have some questions: >> > > >> > > - The fence support matrix shows that apc_snmp, cisco_mds, and ilo_mp >> > > are supported in RHEL 5. We don't have anybody using it on RHEL5 or later. I think adding it to RHEL5 documentation is a waste of your efforts. >> > > - The fence support matrix indicates that rehvm is not supported yet. Interestingly enough, this is the one place where we have a QE-stamped (Brandon P.) feature that is not supported due to the OTHER product (RHEVM) not being stable at this time. :o >> > > - The fence support matrix indicates that ifmib is not supported for >> > > RHEL 5. It is currently documented in the RHEL 5 manual, however. Was >> > > this previously supported? Should I remove that table? Cisco was supposed to perform QE and provide feedback for fence_ifmib for 5.6, but it appears they never did. :/ See: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=572863 -- Lon Hohberger - Red Hat, Inc.
My RHEL 5 working draft now includes tables documenting the parameters for apc_snmp, cisco_mds, and ilo_mp (using the same descriptions as are provided in RHEL 6). I have removed the rehvm table for now. When I next build the document on the review server I will move this bug to MODIFIED.
