Description Thomas Meyer 2011-05-17 06:16:36 UTC
SELinux is preventing /usr/sbin/avahi-daemon from read, write access on the file /var/run/avahi-daemon//pid.

***** Plugin restorecon (99.5 confidence) suggests *************************

If you want to fix the label.
/var/run/avahi-daemon//pid default label should be avahi_var_run_t.
Then you can run restorecon.
Do
# /sbin/restorecon -v /var/run/avahi-daemon//pid

***** Plugin catchall (1.49 confidence) suggests ***************************

If you believe that avahi-daemon should be allowed read write access on the pid file by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# grep avahi-daemon /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol
# semodule -i mypol.pp

Comment 1 Miroslav Grepl 2011-05-17 12:41:14 UTC
# ls -dZ /var/run/avahi-daemon/

# matchpathcon /var/run/avahi-daemon/

The pid file is mislabeled. You will need to run

# restorecon -R -v /var/run/avahi-daemon/
