Description Šimon Lukašík 2011-05-18 10:58:51 UTC
Description of problem:
During a kickstart of a new virtualized guest system.listVirtualGuests API
reports incorrect id of the guest. The returned system id is equal to the
host's system id.

There is a risk, that incorrect system id is reported also for the
guests, which were never registered.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Satellite 5.4.1
spacewalk-java-1.2.39-73.el6sat.noarch

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. schedule installation of a virtualized guest through Satellite
   (I used rhel6.1 guest on rhel6.1 host)
2. watch system.listVirtualGuests() for the host system
3.

Actual results:
print client.system.listVirtualGuests(key, 1000010004)
[{'guest_name': 'guest_xqsvr', 'uuid': 'd23decccf1f03530028f65de2b95f4b8', 'id': 1000010004}]

Expected results:
Do not report system id, until the guest get's registered

Additional info:
After the successful registration in the end of kickstart, the system_id reported by API call is correct.
