Description Richard Russon 2011-05-20 21:54:20 UTC
Description of problem:
When lazyredraw is set several commands don't display any output.
:files
:tabs
:messages
should all still work.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
vim-enhanced-7.3.138-1.fc15.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a couple of files
      seq 10 19 > jim
      seq 20 29 > bob
2. Edit files in vim (-u /dev/null turns off user config)
      vim -u /dev/null -p jim bob
3. Test commands (this works)
      :files
      :tabs
      :messages
4. Enable lazyredraw
      :set lazyredraw
5. Test commands (this doesn't work any more)
      :files
      :tabs
      :messages

Actual results:
No output

Expected results:
:files
  1 %a "jim" line 1
  2 a "bob" line 0
:tabs
Tab page 1
> jim
Tab page 2
    bob
Messages maintainer: Mike Williams <mrw.uk>
"jim" 10 lines, 21 characters
"bob" 10 lines, 30 characters

Additional info:
This works as expected in f14, but not in f15 (both have latest updates).
f14: vim-enhanced-7.3.056-1.fc14.x86_64
f15: vim-enhanced-7.3.138-1.fc15.x86_64

Comment 1 Hong Xu 2011-05-28 02:12:29 UTC
This bug has already been fixed in 7.3.139. See here:

ftp://ftp.vim.org/pub/vim/patches/7.3/7.3.139

You may ask fedora packagers to update the vim version.

Comment 2 Fedora End Of Life 2012-08-07 16:43:42 UTC
This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no
longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version'
of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX.

(Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this
occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.)

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen
this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on
"Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that
version of Fedora.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
