Description of problem:
Upon upgrading from RHEL 6.0 to 6.1 via software updates:
The screen started to jitter (could be described as a flash) to the right (screen left) by random amounts, then jitter back immediately. The distribution implies the jumps are by 2^N pixel differences,though it could also be a 2^N inch distance.
Sometimes the screen goes black for 1/4 to 2 seconds.
These jitters occur about every other second or so. The screen blanks occur a few times a minute.
The jitter continues to occur during the installation process and when only the encryption password dialog box during startup - though I have not witnessed any screen blanking during the last.
If I weren't so patient, this would make the system unusable, it does give me a headache after 30 minutes or so. When I switch my kvm back to the windows the problem stops.
Also, I tried reinstalling RHEL 6.1 from a downloaded DVD - the problem remains the same. I would go back to RHEL 6.0 if I could, but that is not possible.

Happens randomly, roughly every second or so.

Additional info:
I assumed this was egregious enough that everyone would be reporting it and it would be fixed quickly. After a few days, I decided to figure out how to do a bug report because no one could get a significant amount of work done with this bug on her system.
Can you please attach dmesg & kernel log
Video bugs often only happen on a very specific combination of GPU, motherboard, screen and thus may only affect a very small number of peoples (sometimes only 1)

The dmesg output is found in the old attachment. I bought a new graphics board to get the glitch to stop so I have no further input on it.

Since RHEL 6.2 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains
unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as
exception or blocker.
Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the
next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
