Description of problem: Updating from systemtap-0.6.2-2.el4_7 systemtap-runtime-0.6.2-2.el4_7 to systemtap-1.3-5.el4.x86_64 systemtap-runtime-1.3-5.el4.x86_64 fails due dependency issue. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 8) How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install RHEL 4.8 system 2.Register it to rhn.errta.stage.redhat.com 3.up2date -u Actual results: Testing package set / solving RPM inter-dependencies... There was a package dependency problem. Additional info: It seems that systemtap-1.3-5.el4.x86_64 systemtap-runtime-1.3-5.el4.x86_64 requires rpm package NSS. NSS package is available on errata.stage and if installed manually solves the problem.
rhel4 is eol. if you can reproduce it on rhel5, please reopen and change component
