Tomas, Upstream has just released check_updates 1.4.12. This new release includes a modified version of the patch that I have sent yesterday to the author regarding RHEL6 (and SL) support. /jpo

nagios-plugins-check-updates-1.4.14-1.el6 has been pushed to the Fedora EPEL 6 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
The same fix is needed to add RHEL7 support!
